
Newfound is a shop featuring prints designed by James Boland. The brand identity is fully custom typography inspired by Irish type design from the past.
My first attempt was unsuccessful, the word-mark looked underdeveloped and unpolished, however after many more attempts I successfully arrived at a solution. A contemporary word-mark with fully custom typography, injected with Irish culture and class.

on business cards, signage, packaging, and of

The first letter of the word-mark is used as the
sub-mark. This can be used as the avatar on socials, favicon on the website and anywhere else a small scale mark is required.

Regarding colour I chose an array of natual blues, greens and a soft orange. The goal of this project was
to create a brand that is authentic and down to earth. Colours inspired by nature align with this goal.
